We believe in the power of families.
Families each have their own unique set of strengths as well as struggles. When a family is struggling, the members of that family unit can become overwhelmed, uncertain, and even feel helpless.
When your child is experiencing distressing emotional or behavioral symptoms, LifeWays is here to provide treatment for your child and provide support and resources you need to make your family stronger. There are many options for treatment available through the LifeWays Provider Network. You will have the ability to help decide your child's treatment and goals with a person-centered plan designed by you, your child, and their treatment team.

Children and Family Services Programs

Case management helps you find services and supports that help you reach your goals using the person-centered planning process. Your case manager will help you find and connect with services. Case Managers will identify what services and support you need, connect you to services, make referrals and advocate for you with those difficult transitions in life whether that be from inpatient to community services, school to work, dependent to independent living. They will also help with preparing for crisis and a process for after-hours contact.

Home
Shelter
Hospital
School
Other community location
Services are offered at a minimum of once per month. However, individual plans of service may require more frequency based on needs.
The ultimate goal of case management is to help you progress to the point at which you no longer need case management. Our goal is to help you help yourself to gain a life of independence and greater life satisfaction.

The Youth Mobile Crisis Team Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services (ICSS) is a high intensity service designed to prevent or reduce the need for care in a more restrictive setting, (for instance juvenile detention or inpatient psychiatric hospitalization) through community-based crisis intervention and skill/resource development.
Our team is available 10am-7pm to respond to the community, on site at LifeWays, and homes/schools within Jackson and Hillsdale counties for children and young adults up to 21. The LifeWays Crisis Line can be reached 24/7 for mental health crises at 1 (800) 284-8288.
